The Marketing Mompreneur: Meet Tripti Bhatia Gandhi, the CEO of Detales Communications.
Founder, CEO of a leading communications agency, and a loving mom. Tripti Bhatia Gandhi does it all so well! Being a mompreneur with 12 years in the field of marketing under her belt, she knows a thing or two about making her golden mark.
1. Detales Communications is one of the best in the business today! What made you want to start it?
When I started Detales, there were either PR or Advertising agencies. I felt like there was a dearth in the market for a company that was doing it all. I set out to make Detales a one-stop agency that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket.
Just give us your brand and brief- we do it all!
The most creative time in my life was during my Bachelor’s in Mass Media. Everyone was having fun and being creative! That’s the environment I wanted to create at Detales.
2. The best part about your job?
Definitely the new people that I meet and the network I have built. I learn something new every day! Another favourite is working on campaigns that make a difference in a brand’s success. Whenever a client tells us we’ve helped them grow, I feel like I’ve made a positive impact.
3. What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned in getting Detales Communications to where it is now?
The hustle never stops. If you choose to be an entrepreneur get ready for a roller coaster ride! It’s a lot of fun, but every day has a new challenge and the only way to keep going is to be consistent and work hard.
You're only as good as the last work. So you must compete with yourself every single day.

4. Any advice for other Mompreneurs out there on balancing a business and baby?
Treat your motherhood like your startup! Follow your instincts and stop listening to everyone else. You can do it all! No one can multitask like a woman, have faith in yourself as you do in your work.
I can also vouch that women are more creative while pregnant!
5. If you could invite ANY kick-ass boss lady to lunch, who would it be and why?
I'd like to go to lunch with Falguni Nayar. I love what she has created with Nykaa and am a huge fan. I have seen it grow from the start and am fascinated with her journey and how she has done it all.
6. A dream client you would love to work with someday?
I do not have a particular client, but I would love to handle campaigns for tourism boards of places I want to visit. Not with just the usual sightseeing, but by telling the story of a country through their culture, local experiences, and food!
7. Tough question since you work with food often- but what’s your go-to cuisine?
You’re right, this is a tough question since I love trying new cuisines! But if I had to choose, Asian food would be my go-to.
And if I’m having a really bad day, pizza can really make it better.
8. Favourite way to treat yourself when the workweek is done?
The best treat would be going out, trying new restaurants, and having a good meal.
Also a privilege that I barely get to experience- reading a book for leisure or just watching TV in peace!

9. What does jewellery mean to you?
Jewellery is an emotion, a story, a memory. I never leave my house without jewellery. Each piece I own has a story to it!
I love collecting my jewellery from all around the world. Jewellery completes you.
10. What’s a piece of jewellery you own that’s meaningful to you and why?
A ring I was gifted by my husband while I was pregnant. The design I chose was very different. Definitely not your usual solitaire ring! It’s chunky, unique, and reflects how I felt- powerful. I wear it every single day.
11. Any tips for a newbie breaking into the marketing and communications industry?
Growth takes time and hard work. Don’t keep switching jobs for instant gratification and try to remain consistent. Have faith in the company you chose and allow them to help you as you help them!
Things seem greener on the other side but thrive where you are and you’ll get there! In a world where everything seems instant, growth is not.
